The Best, Most Caring Pet Sitters

Sitter For Your Critters is dedicated to contracting only the best, most caring, and qualified pet lovers around. We run each sitter through an extensive screening. How do we hire our pet sitters? Step 1: After a face to face interview, a thorough background check on each prospective pet sitter is run through a service called Castle Branch. Step 2: We call all professional references supplied to us by the contractor. Step 3: Each sitter is contracted on a trial period. We make follow-up phone calls to our clients to make sure they are satisfied with the work done by their petsitter. Step 4: We continue to run ongoing evaluations of each sitter to assure they are adhering to the standards of Sitter For Your Critters. To even better serve our clients and provide them with greater peace of mind, each pet sitter with Sitter For Your Critters is Pet First Aid & CPR Certified.

Kelley Denz

Owner

My name is Kelley Denz, I am the founder of Sitter for Your Critters. Pets are my passion and have always been a huge part of my life. I have owned dogs, cats, horses, parrots, chinchillas, chickens, cows, goats, and sheep. I believe in animal rescue and support Butte Humane Society, Chico Animal Shelter, and Chico Cat Coalition with donations volunteering, and fostering animals in need.

Jonathan Greenfield

Pet Sitter and Manager

Jonathan has a passion for science, music, and animals. His love for animals stems from his experiences growing up around his father’s reptiles and the family cat in their little home in the Bay Area. There, Jonathan learned to properly handle and care for different species of lizards, snakes, and tortoises while also pet-sitting dogs and cats around the neighborhood. After studying biology at San José State, he moved to Chico where he currently lives with his girlfriend and their sweetheart Beagle, Penny. Jonathan can’t wait to share his passion for animals with you and to become your pets’ new best friend!

Kelley Hoxsie

PET Sitter

My name is Kelly and I am a part of the sitters for your critters team. I grew up in Grass Valley and was raised with animals. We always had two dogs and at least one cat, and for a while, we also had a coop of chickens. I’ve always had a passion for caring for people’s pets, and I have been lucky enough to have worked in the field of animal care for just over 5 years now. Beyond my love for animals I also love reading, music, and being in nature. I’m looking forward to meeting you and loving your pets : )

Max Maraschiello

PET Sitter

Hello! My name is Maxwell, and I am a sitter with Sitters For Your Critters. I was born and raised in Chico, and love spending time outdoors, especially taking strolls through Bidwell Park. I am currently training to become an EKG Technician, pursuing my passion of helping people, though I enjoy taking care of people’s pets even more. I have been pet-sitting for friends and family since I was in highschool, and in my free time, I love to read, write, and garden!

Cedric Rouse

PET Sitter

Hello there! My name is Cedric, and I’ve been a Chico resident my whole life. I love being in the outdoors, even during our intense summer weather, but when I need to beat the heat, I enjoy spending my time inside with books, video games, or my art projects, as well as my hobbies of toy collecting and having Dungeons & Dragons sessions with my friends. I have had pets by my side since I was born, and I have experience with caring for all kinds of critters from dogs and cats to reptiles and rodents. I can’t wait to meet you and your lovely animal companions!
